While MarryMeSugarDaddy.com presents itself as an exclusive dating site for mutually beneficial dating relationships, there’s nothing to make it stand out from the rest of the sugar bowl dating sites and many of the screens look like replicas of other sites that I have already reviewed. While it’s not immediately obvious, based on other sites that say they are part of a network of sites, it is pretty clear that Marry Me Sugar Daddy is one of these sites. It feels like it’s just an extra site designed to take a Sugar Baby’s money without providing any real results with a rich Sugar Daddy. But read on to see why I came to this conclusion and why I gave it only 1 Star.
Setting up a Sugar Baby profile is pretty standard and easy. It asks for a username, email address, phone number for mobile site access, and your physical description. Once you’ve got a basic profile set up, you are immediately sent to a page for upgrading your account. You can sign up for a three-day trial membership, but so much for the initial claims that it is 100% free. While it is free to sign up, a Sugar Baby can’t do anything with a free profile, and you will find frequent pop ups asking you to upgrade. Like many other scam sites that require a credit card for even a supposedly free trial membership, a quick search for reviews, will show you that many people have had trouble with canceling the free membership before being charged for at least a one month subscription. If I were you, I wouldn’t take the risk by giving them my credit card information.
According to one review I found, “Initially, the membership to the website is free for 3 days, but after that, you need to choose a subscription plan for a Gold membership.” However, I found that while setting up a profile and doing a search is free, you have to have a paid membership to actually do anything worthwhile on this sugar dating site. Sugar Baby members are offered four options for Gold membership subscriptions and can choose any one of them to start. Here are the different options that are available:
Upgrading to a Gold membership allows a Sugar Baby access to:
The smart match detection feature is supposed to help you match up immediately with an ideal Sugar Daddy based on your preferences, but it seemed to be just like any other dating site’s swipe left or right based on random selections. I don’t know about you, but I’m here because I am not interested in a regular dating site.
As soon as I completed the Sugar Baby profile and got passed the membership page, I was inundated with pop up chats, even one that appeared to be a camera with no option for closing it, but that eventually went black and said “Gold members only, Click to upgrade,” but there was still no option for closing the window. Scrolling through the page, I found advertisements for another dating site, Tempted, which confirmed my suspicions that this site is just looking to make money. In addition, you can’t respond to any of the pop up chats from Sugar Daddies without a membership, which makes me wonder, if the pop ups are from real people or bots. I am inclined to think a bot because I hadn’t uploaded a photo, yet, but one of the pop ups claimed to have visited my Sugar Baby profile and thought I looked cute. So, that was kind of suspicious.
I did a quick Sugar Daddy search, anyway, and despite their claims of being popular, I only had two short pages of search results! And of those, several of the incomes listed were $55k or less a year. I can’t imagine anyone in that income range being able to afford a Sugar Baby like me! According to the home page, this sugar dating site is supposed to be very exclusive and for only the really wealthy and beautiful, but I found that to be untrue as I perused the tiny list of potential Sugar Daddy matches. My ideal is an attractive, wealthy, older man, but if I can’t find that they have to at least be a wealthy Sugar Daddy or else, what’s the point?
Overall, it can be concluded that MarryMeSugarDaddy.com is one sad platform for trying to connect and date charming wealthy men. With so many other sugar dating sites out there that offer entirely free profiles for Sugar Babies, I can’t imagine wanting to pay for such a small pool of Sugar Daddies, especially when those options don’t seem like the rich older men I’m looking for, either. Some of their Gold membership perks seem a little sketchy, too, like the live cam option. Sure, it means you can see each other before meeting, but I imagine many of these guys think it means they can ask a pretty Sugar Baby to display her assets without having to pay. If you’re a serious beautiful Sugar Baby looking to enter into a mutually beneficial dating arrangement with a rich older man, Marry Me Sugar Daddy is probably not your best investment. Luckily for you, I have found some better options, so check back soon for updates or check out some of my other reviews to help you get started finding the rich Sugar Daddy of your dreams.
